pond life - water, water ...

The water level in the pond is rising slowly but not steadily. The pump is only working for a few hours per day but the level of water in the well appears to drop too fast to sustain it. This is really worrying. I am having quite a job keeping the plants around the edge damp - the temperature has soared to 35 degrees plus. Meanwhile I keep planting the aquatic plants as and when a bit more under-water space arives. At least the last of the water lilies has been submerged. The bio agent has created bubbles in the water which cover the whole surface in the cool of the mornings but fades away as the day heats up.
