Well this is a pretty poor show. I know that I should do better and that I am letting the side down - I bet that all the GBBD bloggers in America have masses of blooms all over their gardens, despite the snow, hurricanes, earthquakes and all, but there it is. My one pathetic offering is this Winter Jasmine growing in a pot by my front door. Things have got to get better.

Winter jasmine is a good choice for Bloom Day in January. You'll be surprised to learn that much of the southern US had their gardens devastated by prolonged cold nights below freezing.
Many of us resorted to indoor plants and I have declared the 'Year of the Amaryllis' since so many of us displayed one.
Yes, we in the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Coast of California are pretty fortunate. Kind rains and no frost since November I think. GBBD really shows up the regional differences in winter! Nice to drop in on an Italian garden none the less!

Winter jasmine is a great stand-by. Cheery yellow in winter must be good.
If it were not for the houseplants I would have had nothing so you are one up on my garden which is blooming white right now ;-)

We too can enjoy a winter jasmine in the back yard. That's about it. The rest is currently a sad story. But there is always a tomorrow...! Bacione, Ingrid
