Wisteria wins

On an outing today with the Giardino Romano we saw some wonderful wisteria climbing up through trees - loaded with flowers, of course. I took the opportunity to get views on wisteria and the consensus was 'just leave it to its own devices'. Reassuring, but not so comforting as the letter to the Med Garden Soc Journal - from the Secretary of the society no less - begging for advice on how to get her wisteria to flower. Tee hee.
The garden we visited, by the way, was the fascinating La Cannara near Marta on Lago Bolsena, which is designed around the streams and pools of an ancient Etruscan eel fishery.

It deserves a visit.
