Anyone know this plant?

On my recent visit to Tunis I found that the gardens at the hotel overlooking the sea were planted with hedges of variagated Oleander. The stripy leaves are very ornamental even when the plant is not in flower, but the bright pink semi-double flowers are also very nice. The shrubs seem to grow about as high as the Oleanders here. I did not take any cuttings because (apart from my lack of competence in this area) I did not want to run foul of the customs police at Rome airport. So I would like to ask if anyone else has this plant and if so where could I buy one and does it have any resistence to cold?

Although we grow a lot of oleanders, I have never seen a variegated oleander. I will keep see what I can find out from my grower friends. I would love to have this plant.

Ingri, hello, hello, thank you for your visit, it has been a long time!!!
I don´t know that beautiful plant and flower... sorry.
How sad that I don´t find David Austin roses here in Chile.
Regarding to my Pierre de Ronsard roses, really I do nothing to them, they are very healthy and grow very fast and flower abundantly. They are place in very sunny places, though, maybe that helps. The only thing I do is to add compost now and then, compost that I make at home, and some times some nutrient specific for roses, but just in pots.
Muchos cariños and I´m glad to be here.

Yes, this is a beauty. It is Nerium 'Splendens Foleis Variegata', an old variety. You can find it through Pépinière Filippi (www.jardin-sec.com), a nursery run by a friend of mine, Olivier Filippi, who has the 'National Collection' of Oleanders. They do ship to Italy and various parts of the Mediterranean.

un blog molto interessante. Posso scrivere in italian ??
Possediamo l'oleandro variegato che ha le stesse esigenze della specie , probabilmente la variegatura è dovuta ad un virus.Questo fatto è molto comune nelle piante ornamentali.
