My search for terracotta pots to cover the devastation in the garden led me to this terracotta statue: rather more tasteful than most of the figures I have seen so far and not showing gratuitous amounts of terracotto flesh. This nymph now stands at the end of the pergola under an olive tree. This autumn I plan to surround her with chinese roses and build a pathway around to link up with the terrace below.

Cara Yvonne,
Enchanting terracotta statue! She will feel at home under your olive tree, surrounded by roses. I am sure you will give her your company at dawn and dusk. By the way ..... where is your pottery? I am curious to know. I am always looking. Bacione, Ingrid
