The builders have returned and are now putting up a great wooden structure to form the next part of the reinforced concrete wall. It is starting to become clearer now how the wall is going to be: the ends will extend into the banks beyond the pond so as to stop the water leaking round the sides. I recall first year civil engineering hydraulics classes - if the water has to go round the obstacle it reduces the water pressure. So there.
